“Sure. I’m flexible. We can raise the fee to whatever you would be more comfortable with.”
“Is there a way to get this price down a little?”
“Maybe. Which parts would you like me to leave out? Or, I could try making it a little less good. You know, maybe leave a few nails sticking up?”
“Things are a little tight right now. Can we do a little better on the price?”
“What a coincidence. I was just going to ask about raising the fee, because my furnace needs a lot of work, and I still owe my dentist a bundle. I’m sure you can understand.”
“Look, if you can just help me out on this one, there’s a lot more work coming.”
“Better yet, how about we double the price for this one, and then we’ll discount all that other work later?”
My answer is always “Sure! I can go higher!”
