There are only three possible reasons for saying ‘yes’ to a freelance assignment.
- You’re making a good pile of money.
- You’ll have a lot of fun doing it.
- You’ll be doing good for a bunch of people.
None of the above?

I like this post – it’s short, sweet and plunges a steely blade deep into the heart of a tricky subject. I passed on a job just this morning, and spent most of the day with that uncomfortable pre-regret feeling simmering somewhere low in my abdomen.

I also just recently passed on a project, for me it was the first time in my short freelance career. It was a fairly easy decision based on terrible client behavior but I still had that feeling of regret.
